Principal's Chamber
RANCHI
2020
A renovation of an office within an existing school building, the project reconsiders spatial flow and material presence through a restrained, tactile approach.

A palette of teak, rosewood, and marble anchors the design, introducing warmth, depth, and durability. Partition walls are reimagined as finely crafted teak latticework, allowing light and air to permeate deep into the interior, softening boundaries while maintaining definition.

Focused on the principal’s chamber along with adjoining breakroom and washrooms, the intervention seeks to bring coherence and clarity to the workspace.

The result is a workspace that balances privacy and openness, where material, light, and proportion work together to create a calm, enduring environment.
